Employment BOOST is a division of the well respected, national recruiting firm JMJ Phillip. For nearly 15 years JMJ Phillip has been executing recruiting assignments and providing outplacement services for displaced workers.

At Employment BOOST our goal is to assist those that are looking for a new job by creating high impact resumes and offering other services that allow individuals to take their careers into their own hands.

How we are different than any other resume writer out there?

What makes us so successful is a two part process. First, a seasoned recruiter will tailor your resume. In this instance a recruiters experience is extremely valuable. When dealing with hiring managers and human resources day in and day out you learn one thing:

You can be disqualified before they even finish reading one-third of your resume.

Our recruiters know what hiring managers want to see and they translate that into your resume. You can have a resume written by Hemingway but if the content is not targeted in a way that catches a hiring managers eye, you will be overlooked.

The second part of the process which falls into place with other firms is our copy editor. We have a senior copy editor on staff that determines how well your resume is written. This includes style, grammar and punctuation.

Copy Editor

Our current copy editor is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and also holds a Juris Doctorate from the now Michigan State University School of Law, formally the Detroit College of Law. Her experience includes over 12 years of proofing resumes, legal documents, theses and other publications.
